balik perak yeop!

Minggu lepas balik kampung (in-laws) kat Perak. Kira nak berbuka puasa sama sama untuk pertama kali. Chewah… Aku nie hantu dgn makanan kampung (actually janji makanan mmg semua aku makan..hehe), so apa lagik..bodek laa mak mentua masak macam macam. Kui kui….

Dah menantu kesayangan balik;), macam macam la dia masak. Ada udang rendang pedas ( feveret aku nie), perut masak lemak (feveret hubby), ikan keli bakar ( feveret semua), & kerabu jantung. Kerabu jantung tu 1st time aku makan. Best betul, teringat ingat sampai sekarang!! hahaha…

Hubby pulak rindukan murtabak pasar ramadhan kampungnya. Beli sampai 8 keping! terkejut aku…tapi bila makan, wah wah..mmg sedap. Lain daripada murtabak yg biasa aku mkn. Yg nie bawang sket, daging banyak tul! Pueh hati, dah lah sekeping seringgit je!

Okie dokie, jom kita tulis kad raya!

* Isilah hari hari terakhir Ramadhan dgn sebaik baiknya….

happy anniversary

This morning the crowd at Hang Tuah Monorail Station is unbelievable. Penuh betul lah sampai dah nak ke tangga. Usually walaupun ada org, boleh lah aku menyelit and dapat jugak naik tren. Paling teruk pun kalau ramai sangat, naik the 2nd train. Tapi kali nie tgk crowd ramai mcm tu rasa rasanya tren ke-5 kot baru aku berjaya naik..

Dahlah lagik 20 minit office hour start. Nasib baik laa lepas tu diorang hantar tren kosong khas utk penumpang2 Hang Tuah, lega…Terima kasih utk sistem monorail yg efisyen mengatasi masalah seperti itu.

Sempena bulan puasa yg penuh keberkatan nie, I want to wish my honey happy anniversary:). We first told each other our feelings many years ago (1995) during this month. Of course in an indirect way (dulu dulu dlm blog nie dah cerita macamana, malas nak cerita lagik..hehe).

Zaman dulu2 bercinta mana ada mcm sekarang. No such things i.e. kita declare ek?/ kita couple ek? whatsoever cam aku dgr bebudak sekarang nie couple. So I guess kitorang nie bercinta cam old style jugak ah. Mmg romantis abis coz kalu perasaan tu dilahirkan secara indirect but original mmg wa caya lu lah! Lebey kurang mcm filem melayu dolu dolu campur cerita Hindustan sket. Kui kui..

To my hubby…terima kasih atas segala galanya.
I miss you in every seconds of my life!

Enjoy the weekend!

Pesanan penaja: bila berbuka puasa tu, jgn membazir. Membazir kan amalam syaitan.

buffet ramadhan

Weekend nie nak blk kg hubby dkt Perak. Kitorang blk naik bas je sbb nak jimat budget, minyak mahal beb…tak tahan…Anyway, raya nanti blk lagi. Blk kali nie just utk berbuka puasa dgn parents la. Syahdu sket…

Minggu depan dua hari berturut turut kena berbuka puasa dgn client. Walaupun kesian dkt hubby bukak puasa sorang2, terpaksa laa pergi. Lagipun still budak baru kan, jadik inilah kesempatan nak kenal2 orang.

Tapi nak dibandingkan dgn mkn buffet yang mahal2, mkn dengan si dia jugak yg paling best walaupun mkn telur goreng je;)

Pastu yg tak best kalu buffet nie mesti miss tarawih. Aku suka betul kali nie dapat tarawih dekat masjid, syahdu. Al-maklum laa dulu kat US bacaan tarawih dia lain sket. So kesimpulannya kalu nak pergi buffet nie paling best waktu bendera merah:). Boley makan puas2, dan takde rasa guilty tak pergi tarawih…hehe…

Weekend hari tu layan Gol & Gincu. Best laa ceritanya. Simple but nice. Pastu layan Skeleton Key. Best tul! Ada gaya2 cam cerita six sense sket. Okie, bubbye for now…

puasa beb…

It has been one week we live at our new apartment. I really love it. It’s cozy; which by the way is very important to me:) , almost complete now with all the things that we need ( with the exception of washing machine for now), and the weather is usually windy which I really love!

Pepagi boley dgr bunyi ‘keletung keletung’ coz we hang this souvenir thing from Indonesia that we got as a wedding present from my junior. She went there during an internship in vet, I think so. Thanks girl!

Umat Islam mula berpuasa, sudah masuk hari ke 3. Nanti pejam celik pejam celik, sekejap je dah nak sebulan. Masa tu mula lah menyesal sbb tak gunakan bulan nie sepenuhnya. So before menyesal, mari lah kita sama sama fully-utilized segala keberkatan yg ada dlm bulan nie.

I’ve been cooking for dinner coz dpt blk kerja on time. Maybe I won’t be that lucky later coz things are getting busier at the office.

It’s actually the first time we break fast and sahur as husband and wife. It feels great, plus he is not particular in food. Apa apa pun makan, provided it’s related to either chicken, egg, or onions ;).

I love my kitchen. It is equipped by a nice kitchen cabinet, siap ada tpt khas utk letak dapur and fridge. Plus kitchen hood lagik. Menyenangkan kerja2 memasak ku:).

Okie, gue mau blk ampang. Bukak poser dgn mama pulak! Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween!

Among the people that I keep in touch with after I left States is my colleagues in the pre-school. Now it’s October, so one of them told me it’s time for them to think about their Halloween costume. How nice! Halloween celebration at the school is really fun, and I really enjoy it.

We will change the setting to everything “halloweeny”. There‚Äôs haunted house, pumpkin to carve (and to eat), and ghost apparels for make believe. Then we will set one day to go trick or treat around the campus. Every child will dress up.

I see a wide range of costumes every year. Boys will mainly focus on their heroes. There are power rangers (which a favorite choice among the Koreans kids), Harry Potter, fireman, or a famous quarterback. Girls’ choice of course will range from witches, little fairy girl, to never-a-lame-choice; cinderella.

And every year without fail, their candy bucket is full. (Who can resist giving candies to cute children?) I’ll give the whole packet if it was me ;).

For the college students, things are a little bit different. There’s no more trick or treat. But it’s a tradition every year in Madison during Halloween weekend where the famous State Street will be full with people.

It is so fun to see people’s creativity in costumes. There have normal witches, catwoman, draculas, etc. But there are also formula cards (such as E=MC^2), sperms, etc. Really fun!

Some people said as Halloween originated from christianity, we can’t actually celebrate them. In my personal opinion, it’s okay to just go and see what’s going on, thus give us more understanding in others culture. Kind of like here in Malaysia where we visit other races during their celebration, such as during CNY. Kind of like that. But that’s just my two cents.

Happy Halloween!

Selamat Berpuasa buat para muslim. Semoga ramadhan kali ini lebih bermakna…
